With our specialist experience and revolutionary petrochemicals-free cleaning methods, we safely care for gowns with all care labels, including ‘do not dry clean’, tackle difficult stains, and hand finish the most delicate materials. We use a biodegradable process which produces a better finish, no unpleasant chemical odours, and noticeably cleaner and brighter colours. Our onsite bridal specialist seamstress can also mend, alter, or tailor your gown to meet your requirements.
Upon inspection, we will provide a detailed report of your gown’s condition, construction, and fabric composition. We will outline the cleaning and finishing process from here, allowing you to address any concerns or ask questions. Only after we explain the wedding dress dry cleaning techniques and the entire finishing process with you do we proceed with the next steps.
Your gown will be thoroughly examined to spot any stains that need pre-treatment. Each spot will be hand cleaned and treated before cleaning. The areas usually needing the most attention are the hemline and underarms. Makeup, grease, grass, fake tan and alcohol spills are common stains we often find, and can all be removed safely.
Once your gown has been hand-treated to pristine condition, we will proceed with the gentle cleaning. Our method is 100% environmentally friendly, using no toxic chemicals such as PERC, Hydrocarbon, and White Spirits solvent, leaving no chemical smells – only brilliant finishes. Our seamstress will attend to any loose buttons, damaged hems and tears.
All gowns are expertly hand finished using our state-of-the-art equipment with temperature control to handle the most delicate materials and trims.
The final stage is a careful inspection to ensure your gown has been cleaned and finished to our highest standards. We will invite you back to inspect the garment, and only if you’re 100% satisfied will we proceed with preservation.
If you have chosen to preserve your gown, it will be carefully packed into our museum-quality acid-free box with tissue paper. Our elegant boxes have a viewing window, allowing you to see your precious gown without worrying about dirt or dust. The box and tissue will protect your treasured dress from atmospheric particles and light, and protect against discolouring for years to come.
